Richplant
Cultivation process
From cutting to plant
Efficient and ergonomic potting and sorting
All our products are placed in the pots manually on our cutting/removal system, which has been developed to enable our employees to do this in the most ergonomic position possible, thereby increasing speed. This system also allows us to widen and sort batches of plants with a vision camera.
1. Growing up
In this way, we work
During the propagation of Gardenias, regular moves and operations are needed to optimise the plant's growth. This is partly why we opted for the Walking Plant System. This allows the plants to be guided easily and quickly past the various climate zones and workplaces during the propagation phase. Using the Walking Plant System also created the opportunity to use the space under the system for water storage. A total of around 6,000,000 litres of water is stored under the system.

Besides the Walking Plant System, we have opted for cultivation on concrete floors, allowing us flexibility at all times.
2. Delivery system
The importance of automation and flexibility
Since various types of plants are grown at Richplant in different pot sizes, automation needs to be very flexible. Our new Smartflo conveyor system is just that. This delivery system is a good combination between efficiency and flexibility, making our automation completely future-proof again.
Selective picking
Plants can be selectively harvested using the over crop belt, the SmartFlo Flexit.
Minimum walking distance
With this belt, employees cover a minimum walking distance during selective picking.
SmartFlo Flexit
Via the SmartFlo Flexit and the Track, plants reach a main conveyor, which transports the plants to a compact delivery system.
Cleaning and sorting
Employees can clean, sort and tray the plants in the delivery system.
Roller track buffer
Buffering of the sorted plants is done using a roller conveyor buffer, which enables us to provide customised service to our customers.

CSR
Sustainable and ergonomic enterprise
Corporate social responsibility suits our company. Working conditions and the environment are of paramount importance to us. We handle gas and electricity carefully and to make the best use of them, we work with a CHP (Combined Heat and Power), e-boilers and a battery.
We work with a super team of permanent staff and we are careful about this. We therefore ensure that work can be done in an ergonomically responsible manner.
We are certified for MPS-GAP, MPS Socially Qualified and GRASP. These labels from the foundation Milieu Project Sierteelt (MPS) offer buyers the assurance that the holder of these labels meets the strictest requirements in terms of quality assurance, traceability, environment and social (working) conditions.
