Our sustainable solutions
Our entire business process is in line with corporate social responsibility requirements.
Energy efficiency
We generate our own electricity through our combined heat and power unit which we use for lighting in the nursery, the resulting heat we use to heat our greenhouses. We also have two E-boilers that allow us to electrically heat our greenhouse, which saves on gas consumption.
Solar
The 745 solar panels on our roof provide enough energy for 40 households a year.
Battery
We have a 1MW battery in which we can store self-generated power for later use or contribute to keeping the national energy grid stable.
Water management
All the water we use is 100% recirculated, so nothing ends up in the environment.
Sustainable crop management
We use biological control against pests as much as possible. These are the natural enemies of pests that like to be in our plants. Furthermore, we try to to work as hygienically as possible so that diseases and pests do not stand a chance. All our products come with a plant passport.
Bee project
Together with a beekeeper, we provide flowering flowers and shrubs so that bees find nourishment all year round.
