Our story
Discover our world of unusual plants
Welcome to Richplant, where the journey through the world of plants begins. The owners of Richplant are Richard and Ellen Scheffers. We are passionate about growing exclusive flowering and green houseplants. Our greenhouse houses plants from all over the world, each with their unique beauty and characteristics. What makes our craft so special? Matching the specific climate needs of plants from various corners of the earth every day.
A little history
Richard started growing potted plants in 1983 on an 8500 m² farm on Poeldijksepad in Honselersdijk. In 1987, he concentrated there on growing the beautiful Gardenia Jasminoides. In mid-1989, the company expanded to include a site on Oostheullaan in Honselersdijk, where Spathiphyllum in particular was grown alongside various other plants. In 1998, both companies were sold, and we have since continued at our current 60,000 m2 location on the Grote Achterweg in Naaldwijk.

We are a company with a passion for exclusive flowering and green houseplants. Together with a team of experienced and enthusiastic employees, we strive to be a customer-friendly company and deliver a high-quality assortment that both consumers and we enjoy.
One of Richplant's core values is to be a good and healthy working environment for our employees. We are happy with and also proud of our close-knit group of 28 permanent employees and 35 trainees. Together, we form Team Richplant!
Objectives
Modern and flexible
Our company is modern and flexible, which enables us to supply a wide range of high-quality green and flowering plants in addition to year-round flowering Gardenias. We are always working on product development and want to be able to offer a surprising range of plants. Our aim is to offer the trade a wider assortment and to surprise and delight consumers with lesser-known plants. Naturally, we work in a socially responsible manner.
